Job Description
- The primary responsibility of this role is to safely and efficiently transload materials using a variety of heavy equipment, including a Friction Crane, Taylor Lift Forklift, Skid Steer, and others as required. Operations may take place in barges, gondola cars, warehouses, and various field locations. A valid CDL license is required.
- Key duties include operating and maintaining heavy equipment such as a 200-ton P&H Overhead Crane, a 140-ton Manitowoc Friction Truck Crane, a 50-ton Lima Friction Barge Crane (or equivalent), front-end loaders, forklifts, and tractor-trailers. The role also involves overseeing daily terminal operations, including managing personnel, equipment, and facility needs.
- Responsibilities also include ensuring the safe and effective operation of all terminal equipment, performing routine preventive maintenance tasks—such as lubrication, cleaning, cable replacement, and adding gear lubricants—and accurately documenting all maintenance activities performed.
